Cornish Cream Tea anyone??

You have to love any seaside village that serves up Cornish cream teas!

We were all loving our first experience of Cornish clotted cream – there is nothing quite like it! Yum!

This was such a beautiful Cornish village – such spectactular views and wild seas.

Psalm 65:5
“O God our Saviour, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas…”

Beautiful Cornwall

Sleepy smugglers coves….it almost felt like the Famous Five were going to walk around the corner at any moment…..

Port Isaac Cornwall – where Doc Martin (BBC television show is filmed!)…

..graceful gulls..a wonderful day in a special part of God’s creation..

Bonjour dear friends!

Bonjour dear friends!! It has been awhile since I last blogged but just wanted to let you know we have been having a really wonderful trip. Each day has been an adventure…. our eyes are open wide with wonder and sheer delight! I hope to
blog more regularly the next little while and fill you in our European adventure so far!
Au Revoir – blessings to you :)

Korea Baby!

After a great night’s sleep we got up bright and early and headed off on our overseas adventure.

With ten hours on a smallish plane with Noah we found some creative ways to pass the time :) We looked a little crazy but Noah thought it was hilarious! Thanks to Katherine from Safron Threads for the little treats…Noah LOVED the lady-bugs!

Noah fell asleep after we had landed in Korea and were taxiing around the Tarmac in Korea – it was really funny as most of the trip he had been full of beans!

We finished our day with a traditional Korean meal and a great sleep!
London here we come!

We’re Off!

We are off on our European holiday tomorrow. I read a great quote this morning in one of my favourite books Streams in the Desert,

“However matters go, the worst will be a tired traveller and a joyful and sweet welcome home.”

I can’t wait to share all the beauty and delights I discover in our big adventure in this space.
Bonjour and see you soon!
:) love Martine

The Kabuki Bar

A few weeks ago Dan and I were very generously spoilt by two lovely friends, who treated us to a night at the Kabuki bar (Japanese barbeque) at the Stamford Plaza. It was hilarious – we had eggs thrown at us, we tried to catch flying bowls of rice and omlette – and the bibs were awesome!

The food was delicious and the facial expressions were priceless.

Our chef had Iron Chef qualities and had the fastest choppest action around!
Great memories….lots of laughs and Chris Isaac the musician was at the table next to us….we all tried to play cool:)
