Winter Is…

Winter is…going home to visit my parents in the country…

Visiting the neighbours…

and the very cute runt Molly…

We are loving the holidays and the rest from the routine of everyday life.
I’m learning to keep trusting God for the strength for each day knowing that my God has our lives and times in His care.

In the hood…

We went for a bushwalk yesterday in our local area.

It was so refreshing getting out in God’s creation and breathing the fresh air. Seeing the light change and fall at the end of the day.

The boys were loving “going on my trail” as Byron shouted as he ran up the paths :)

This little guy enjoyed sitting in the grass…

and today is celebrating being ten months old!

…just some musings to remember the special moments of rest and restoration amongst every day life…

Vision…

Hello! It seems like ages since I’ve been in this space. I have had lots to share but sometimes finding the time and the right words has been a challenge. Five weeks ago our gorgeous Noah’s eye turned suddenly after a chiropractic treatment. Since then he has had double vision. Its been a big month of the initial shock, emotion, trying to get to the bottom of it all, tests and finding a way forward and a solution to recover his sight.

God has been strongly with us through it all. As Noah’s mum, I want to take difficulty away from him. I wish that I could take his double vision and give him my clear sight. I wish I could restore things for him to how it was before. But I can’t. I look to God who has my son in the palm of his hand. My God who kindly loves and encourages us in so many ways.

God gave me a beautiful picture when I was praying and asking God to heal Noah. It was of Dan and I and the boys sitting around Jesus and Noah was sitting on Jesus lap. Jesus took Noah’s little black glasses with the white stickers on the front and Jesus put them in his coat pocket. It spoke to me that Jesus has Noah’s vision covered “its in his coat pocket”. He has taken care of this. He knows the way forward and we just need to trust Him.

A lovely friend dropped a surprise bag of goodies at our door the other day…encouraging us practically and lovingly. Noah received a beautiful bag of “Super Noah” goodies from this same friend after his MRI…thank you so much!

We have had lots of distractions this past month which has been great…hair cuts :)

Distance Ed excursions…

Milking cows…

Lots of smiles from Jack…

Lots of love…

and warmth.

God has our family and you too in the palm of his hand. My God has it covered, our troubles are “in his coat pocket”.
