A little wander….

Yesterday I went for a little wander along a lovely strip of shops…

My shopping companion was keen to hit the shops…

….dressed as a dinosaur and randomly shouting “Raaaaaaaaaaa” when walking along…

…Ah vintage fashion…I love it!!

~Happy New Year ~

Christmas bloopers:)

I don’t know if your family is anything like ours but each year most of our Christmas photo’s are pretty hilarious…in lots of pictures everyone looks hot and sweaty or really tired (maybe from staying up all night waiting to open presents in the wee hours of the morning)…
Enjoy some of this year’s from our family!
Above is a photo of Noah with his cousins, Sophie, Lochlan and William and Cotton the guinea pig:)

…Christmas morning…Noah with his Aunties and Uncles…everyone looking half awake:)

…Auntie Nat pretending to be a butterfly getting caught in Noah’s net:)

…and my Dad trying on his new pyjama bottoms from his secret Santa :)
How did your Christmas photos turn out??

Christmas Night…

We had a lovely Christmas Day visiting all our family around Brisbane.

By Christmas night we were ready for our last stop at my sister Kim’s house for Christmas dinner with my family.

The table was so lovingly decorated by my sister Nat with these amazing blue birds…Australian native bush leaves and candles…

…this photo doesn’t quite do the birds justice…they looked so beautiful hanging above the table! When the wind started to blow it looked like they were flying!

Vintage Wrapping…

Last year I happened upon a stash of vintage Christmas papers in an opshop in Kingaroy.

It was such an exciting find (to me anyway:) – some of the wrappings were still on the roll :)

…this year I decided to put some of these beauties to good use…

…and wrapped a few presents with them…
I couldn’t bring myself to use them all up :)
I hope you are having a wonderful few days before Christmas!

A perfect day for a birthday by the beach!

Yesterday was Dan’s 30th birthday!!! We celebrated with a small gathering by the beach and it was the most perfect day for my beach loving husband :)

There was plenty of time for surfing…

…a driftwood birthday/Christmas tree…

It was such a relaxed, fun birthday…

Happy Birthday Dan….You’re 30…Cool :)

Beloved Byron…

Last weekend my sister Natalie treated Dan, Noah and I to a few nights away at beloved Byron Bay.
It was so great to drive along the country roads with the windows down and breathing in the fresh, cool air…

We admired the beach….unfortunately it was really windy and lots of bluebottles (or waterbottles as Noah calls them) so we didn’t actually get in!

Thankyou Natalie your gift came at just the right time…

Lavish…

There is nothing quite like opening your mailbox to discover a Christmas treat….

or two…or three….

Such beautiful, lavish gifts…remind me of the gift of Jesus…so free, so full…
Jesus, Thankyou…
